If my provincial health insurance already covers health plan, why would I need a private health care plan?

Canada Government-funded health plans differ from one province to another, and numerous medical services are not included in government plans. Even if you hold a provincial plan like OHIP, MCS, or MSI, among others, extended health care services such as physiotherapy, vision care, and chiropractic services are typically excluded from public plans, yet they are crucial for sustaining optimal physical health. Health and Dental insurance enhances your provincial coverage by reimbursing out-of-pocket expenses not addressed by provincial plans and providing you with extensive benefits to support your health and wellness.

With the exception of Quebec, which includes some medication coverage, provincial health insurance plans do not cover prescription drugs. The health insurance helps fill this void by offering a fundamental level of reimbursement for prescription expenditures. We additionally provide an optional drug enhancement to raise prescription coverage to 90% reimbursement per individual, with a personal limit of $1,000 for the initial year, $1,500 for the second year, and $2,000 per year from the third year onward.
